A recommissioning investigation was completed for this 39,600 m2 Oxford Properties office facility in Toronto. Proposed recommendations identified by the investigation are being implemented to attain improved energy efficiency and conservation.
As part of this recommissioning project, savings close to $100,000 have identified with a simple payback of 11 months .
Sample improvements identified include the following:
implementing a strategy to optimize outdoor air quantities
upgrade DCW booster pump control
installing variable speed pumping for the heating system
implementing and optimizing a series of building automation control routines, such as night set-back, optimum equipment start/stop , humidity reset, and outside air free cooling
optimizing domestic cold water booster pump operation
